Welcome to Soma Lux Pilates!

Please read below for studio policies.    We aim to provide a warm, welcoming, and peaceful environment for all our clients who come to focus on mindful movement, body awareness, and healthy habits. To facilitate this, we have policies in place which will ensure that all parties have a positive and smooth experience in the studio. Please reach out with any questions.

Studio Etiquette:  To ensure that all parties have a safe, comfortable, and positive experience in the studio, we ask that you abide by these guidelines:

Attire

  • Please wear comfortable, fitted workout clothing that allows for ease of movement and proper alignment observation.
  • Shoes are not worn on the Pilates equipment. You may go barefoot or wear grip socks for added traction and safety.

Safety & etiquette

  • Silence all devices (including phones, smart watches, etc.) before your session. No vibrating alerts, please.
  • Avoid applying lotions, oils, or body products prior to your session, as they can make equipment slippery and degrade materials, and also may present a safety hazard in some exercises.
  • No gum or mints during your session– they can be a choking hazard.
  • Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes or fragrances, as others in the studio may be sensitive or allergic.
  • For the safety and focus of all clients, children are not permitted in the studio unless participating in a scheduled session.

Waiting area:

If you arrive to the studio early, please wait in the designated area as other sessions may be taking place. We will let you know when we’re ready for you.

Pilates Scheduling:

Pilates booking, rescheduling, and canceling can be completed online through your client account. For questions or if you need assistance from studio staff, you can reach out through your client account or email us at hello@somaluxpilates.com.

Recurring Sessions:

Clients are able book in to a regular weekly appointment time for private and semi-private sessions. This can be set up with the studio by emailing hello@somaluxpilates.com.

For recurring appointments, we ask that you have a Pilates package on your account. If no package is on file, the default will be a single session charged at the drop-in rate.

If the recurring weekly session is canceled or missed for 3 consecutive weeks, the appointment time will be released for other clients.

Small Group Classes :

Pilates experience required: Small group classes are 45 minutes long and capped at 5 students. For your safety and comfort, we require that class participants have prior experience on Pilates equipment before joining a group setting.

Booking window + cancellation policy: You may register online for group class up to 2 hours before the start time. The cancellation policy is 24 hours.

Arriving on-time: For your safety and the flow of class, we ask that all clients arrive on time for group classes to ensure participation in the warm-up. We understand that unexpected things can come up, but if you’re running 5 or more minutes late, we kindly request that you not join class that day.

Minimum enrollment: Currently, the minimum enrollment for a small group session is 2 students. If only 1 student is enrolled, the session will be cancelled and the student will be given the opportunity to reschedule to a different class, or purchase a private session at a reduced rate.

Waitlist: If a class is full, students will have the option to join a waitlist. If a spot opens in the class,  waitlisted students will be notified and prompted to sign up.

Pilates Cancellations (All Sessions):

If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice; the more notice, the better! This allows us to offer that slot to other clients who want to schedule.

*Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment will be charged the full amount or deducted from the applicable package.
