Welcome to Soma Lux Pilates!
We're glad you're here!
Thanks for booking at Soma Lux! We're excited to welcome you to the studio and into our movement community.
At Soma Lux, you'll find:
- Smart, precise instruction from deeply experienced teachers
- Small classes where you feel seen and supported
- A calm, welcoming studio designed for clients returning to movement or seeking sustainable strength
- Progressions that help you move with confidence, ease, and longevity
This is a space where you can move at a pace that feels right.
In order to provide that warm, welcoming, and peaceful environment for all our clients who come to focus on mindful movement, we have policies in place which will ensure everyone has a positive and smooth experience in the studio.
Studio Etiquette
To ensure that all parties have a safe, comfortable, and positive experience in the studio, we ask that you abide by these guidelines:
What to Wear
- Please wear comfortable, fitted workout clothing that allows for ease of movement and proper alignment observation.
- Shoes are not worn on the Pilates equipment. You may go barefoot or wear grip socks for added traction and safety.
Studio Safety & Etiquette
- When arriving at the studio, be sure to silence all devices (phones, smart watches, etc.) before your session—no vibrating alerts, please.
- For your safety and the integrity of our studio equipment, refrain from applying lotions, oils, sunscreen, and similar body products prior to your session, as they can make equipment slippery and damage materials.
- For your safety, dispose of any chewing gum or mints before your session.
- Avoid strong perfumes or fragrances in the studio, as others may have sensitivities.
- We love kids, but for everyone's safety and focus, children are not permitted in the studio unless participating in a scheduled session.
Arriving for Your Session
- When you arrive, please take a seat in the designated seating area near the reception desk. Other sessions are often in progress or wrapping up, so we recommend arriving no earlier than 5–10 minutes before your scheduled session.
- Your instructor will let you know when it's time to begin. Until then, please refrain from using any Pilates equipment unless otherwise indicated.
- Personal items may be stored in cubbies or baskets; shoes can be placed in a cubby or under the bench.
- If you need to take a phone call, we kindly ask that you step outside.
Scheduling, Booking & Cancellations
All booking, rescheduling, and cancellations can be managed through your client account on our website: www.somaluxpilates.com. If you need help, we're happy to assist.
Booking Windows
- Private sessions: Book online up to 24 hours in advance. For last-minute requests, please contact us directly.
- Group classes: Register online up to 2 hours before class start time.
Cancellations (privates, groups, and workshops)
- We require 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or reschedules.
- Late cancellations (within 24 hours) will result in the session being deducted from your package (or charged at the drop-in rate if no package is on file).
- Please complete all cancellations (both early and late) from your online account. A notification will automatically be sent to your teacher.
No-Shows
- A no-show occurs when a client does not cancel a session and does not attend.
- In addition to the regular session fee, a $10 no-show fee will be applied. This helps us support our instructors and manage the schedule fairly for all clients.
Recurring Sessions
We’re happy to set up recurring sessions for clients who prefer a consistent schedule. The following guidelines apply to recurring appointments:
- Packages & payment: Please be sure to keep an active package on your account. You’ll receive reminders when you’re running low, and you can always check your balance through your online account.
- If no package is on file: The session will default to the drop-in rate and be charged to the card on file.
- Payment issues: If a payment method fails and we’re unable to obtain a working payment method in a timely manner, future appointments may be canceled until the account is back in good standing.
- Cancellations: Our standard 24-hour cancellation policy applies to recurring sessions. If you’re unable to attend, please cancel through your online account at least 24 hours in advance.
- Holding your spot: Because our schedule shifts frequently, we aren’t always able to hold recurring times during extended gaps. If a recurring session is canceled or missed three consecutive times, the slot may be released for open scheduling.
Group Class Guidelines
- Classes are 45 minutes and capped at 5 students.
- Prior Pilates equipment experience is required to join group classes. If you’re new to Pilates, we’d love to work with you in a private setting first to prepare you for classes.
- Please arrive on time for classes to ensure a safe warm-up and smooth class flow. Clients arriving 5 or more minutes late may not be permitted to join class that day.
- Group classes require a minimum of 2 students to run. If the minimum enrollment isn't met, you’ll have the option to reschedule your class or change to a reduced-rate private session.
- If a class is full, you’re welcome to join the waitlist. You’ll be notified if a spot opens.
